Even you can be a part of the SDLC
The Systems Development Life Cycle is a common process that's used in IT for developing everything from a corporate website to a time & billing systems. The SDLC process is time tested, and there's no reason it can't be applied to the little guy. Here's how we've adopted the process to work for small businesses:
- Step 1: Initial Interview
- First thing is first, we find out who you are, what you want, and what you can afford.
- Step 2: Customized Prototyping
- We put everything down on paper, so there are no suprises, and you have a record of exactly what we're going to do.
- Step 3: System Setup
- We take care of all the messy stuff, like DNS, server configuration, e-mail setup, and the like
- Step 4: Development
- We live by the old carpentry addage: measure twice, build once.
- Step 5: Testing
- Once we build it, we test it... just to make sure.
- Step 6: Deployment
- Once we've made sure everything works, we release your site to the public.
- Step 7: Continued Support
- The SDLC is a cycle for a reason! Your site is never "finished" and we're here to make improvements, add new content, and keep it alive.
